Below are addresses of individuals who are incarcerated. These are people who have stood up for what they believe to be right and are now paying the price for going against the establishment. Please write to all of them them, send them cards and encourage them. It only takes about 20 minutes and .39 to write a letter and even less to send a card. You may only miss lunch, but look at what they are missing. The sacrifice of your time will be greatly appreciated. You would be surprised at what a simple card can mean to someone locked away from the world.

First and foremost, let me say one thing here and now. Regardless of what you may or may not feel about prison life. It's one hard fucking life to live, and live up to. That's right! You have to live up to that life, or you'll once again find yourself fucked by the system.
I don't give a good fuck how big you are, how strong you are or anything else. When you're on the inside looking the fuck out, it's one hell of a rough time. Especially now, more so than ever before in history. The reason follows: Before there were ever any deals cut from fucking prosecutors, etc., it wasn't so bad. You could talk with fellow cellies, and not worry about a fucking thing. Now, you can't say shit to anyone to let them have enough (know enough about your case history) to use against you to their advantage. That's exactly what I said! You heard it right the first time!
Also, when they send letters home, or talk on the phones, in order not to cause anyone to worry, they don't say shit about anything other than how good they are doing.
Prison life, is a lonely fucking life to live when you don't get mail, etc. And, it doesn't take long before you are feeling left out and forgotten about altogether. A person's mind is constantly working while on the inside, on just waiting and hoping some form of Good News will come their way. It's one of the only things that keeps a person's sanity. Without hope, the sanity would be quickly gone. Even lifers doing time, must do it with the hope of one day, being free. Everyone on the outside takes this for granted. The reason being, it doesn't ever kick into reality until we lose that (now) little bit of freedom we do have.
Many people don't write for feeling they don't know what to say. Don't feel that way. Say things as you would in person. Speak of things in a positive way and give them reason to believe and know they are locked down, but still just as important as they were before being locked down. Think of what you'd like to hear from folks if you were in their place, and if something would depress you, then keep quiet on that subject. There is nothing to fear in writing folks. You are not going to cause them any more worry than what they already have. But you will bring that hope back up to where it needs to be in order to survive their sanity until they are once again back home where they belong.
